"We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun." - A.A. Milne
I proudly offer a client closet of ladies dresses that you are more than welcome to borrow for your session. I will also provide you with a style guide that has all the details about how to dress your family for the best results. It's all so simple and you're going to look amazing! I also include a list of stylists and boutiques who will take good care of you.
Lastly, family is what it's what my work is all about! I don't charge more for extended families (up to fifteen people) and love when grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles are included. I enjoy working with large groups and can't wait for you to see the art we create!
You and your family deserve a stress-free and memorable experience. I'm so excited to get to know you and learn a little bit about everyone. I want to know what makes each of your children laugh and what you love most about each of their unique personalities. I adore unposed moments and love capturing details of movement and unexpected beauty.
From the moment you first inquire about your portrait session to when you hang your artwork on the wall, I'm with you each step of the way. There's no need for you to stress about locations, lighting, or even how to make your children smile. I'll guide you through it all with great care.
When you book a session with me, you receive more than just a session and digital files. From my client closet to packages that include print credit for gorgeous items, I'm here for you every step of the way. Get comfortable and take a moment to look around and get to know how I make it all happen!
Your experience begins with a conversation. After photographing many, many families, I've learned that the best sessions are the ones where we take the time go get to know each other. We will schedule a quick twenty minute phone call to dream up your session and I'll answer any questions you might have. I want to hear all about your family. What your kids love, who might be shy, and things that make you all laugh. Prefer to plan your session via e-mail? No problem, let me know!
Once you've made your decision and ready to make things official, I'll send over a contract and invoice. After paying the initial date reservation retainer your date is set in stone. It's time to start planning!
If picking out outfits for photos takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet and piled it on your bed but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck. I have an extensive style guide and client closet dresses which you will have access to upon booking with me. I also am happy to provide wardrobe guidance over e-mail or a phone call. I have so many options for you and none of them will break the bank.
It's the big day! I will do what I do best – capture stunning details and portraits of you and your family. To preserve the moments you never want to forget. Since we've taken some time to get to know each other during the planning process, you can rest easy knowing I'm prepared to to serve the unique needs of your family. We'll have a blast and you'll wonder how a photo session can be so much fun!
About two weeks after your session, I'll send a gorgeous slideshow featuring who else... your beautiful family! Have some tissues on hand because these photos will melt your heart. After you've seen your images, it's time to choose a collection. Each collection includes digital files and print credit to purchase my favorite heirloom products. You'll receive finished artwork ready to display in your home and use as gifts.
Consider your portrait experience stress free as of this moment
I take great care when selecting locations for your session. When I choose a location I consider the season, time of day, parking, and more. I'm proud to have locations all over Chicagoland including: Schaumburg, Naperville, Wheaton, Bartlett, and Barrington. I'm also delighted to offer sessions at The Morton Arboretum, of which I'm a member, for an additional location fee. In-home sessions are a wonderful option for portraits any time of year.
Once we begin planning your session, we will discuss time of day and which locations are closest to you. The most important thing is to choose where you're going to have dessert after our time together!
It's no secret, I love beautiful dresses. However, the reason why might surprise you! Flowing dresses add movement, light, and softness to your photos. They help to tell the story in your portraits and are as functional as they are pretty. Simple is the name of the game while we plan your session and nothing elaborate needs to be purchased. I'm proud to offer a client closet of ladies dresses that you may borrow for your session.
Once you book with me, I will send over a style guide full of ideas for the whole family. I include a list of local boutiques and salons that will ensure you and your family are taken care of and looking your best!
The sooner the better! My weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, I'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know.
No one wants to get dressed up just to stand in the rain. If it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, I'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule. Rarely, if it's not raining, but it's too overcast outside, we will find another date.
For the love of all things beautiful, please don't print your photos at pharmacies or big box stores. The quality of printed products from these companies is often disappointing. What's worse is that I'm unable to advocate on your behalf should something go wrong with your order.
I'm proud to offer prints, canvases, framed art, and albums which you can purchase directly from your online gallery. All of my printed products are produced by professional print labs and the quality and attention to detail is incredible. I also understand the desire to have digital files of your images. Easy to follow full-resolution downloads and printing rights are included with your gallery.
"Abbie is wonderful! Her bubbly personality makes working together so easy. Her style is light and airy and our photos are beautiful…both posed and candid. I plan to work with her again in the future. She captured such precious moments."
This session was incredibly special. This sweet client is mom to three boys and a baby girl! I loved capturing the special bond between mother and daughter in this beautiful collection. The beautiful fall leaves and blue dress created a perfect palette of color to enhance the natural beauty of these two.
We've all spent a lot of time at home in recent years. At home sessions are a beautiful way to document your family memories in the place you call home. The light colors and beautiful natural light in this home made this session a photographer's dream! These two little boys are so loved by their parents and the natural portraits we created in their home are so precious.
I was so happy to connect with this family as they planned a trip to Chicago. Documenting your family memories while on vacation can be a really fun experience! The Williams family radiates happiness and joy. It's always fun to work with clients who are willing to try new ideas with me. Some of my favorites include the portraits of mom and daughter lying down and searching for airplanes.
